Is irc too old?

    IRC is a very popular chat room system in the world. But this time, I found that IRC demand user use the 6667 port to connect it. The problem is, today we usually use NAT or proxy or other technology. They can't specify the port which they want to use. This Restriction make more people can't connect the system. So, The Restriction is out of date.
